We are a small team of farriers based in Long Crendon in Buckinghamshire working in the surrounding areas and further afield. Our aim is to provide an excellent standard of equine hoof care coupled with a highly professional service.
In addition to general shoeing and trimming, a large element of our work is corrective farriery and we have developed very good relationships with local vets working with them on a regular basis to achieve excellent results.
We continue to strive to develop our farriery skills and our knowledge base, endeavouring to remain at the forefront of advanced farriery techniques.
Crendon Farriers Ltd was established in 2007 by Daniel Harman. Daniel started his Farriery career in Buckinghamshire in 1991 when he began a 4 year 2 month apprenticeship with Farrier Carl Bettison A.W.C.F.
Upon obtaining the Dip W.C.F (Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers) examination in 1995 and gaining his place on the Register of Farriers he set up his own business. Daniel has been running a very successful and professional Farriery service ever since. In 2004, due to demand of work he became an Approved Training Farrier (ATF). He has successfully trained five apprentices that have already qualified and is currently training two more.
In April 2013 Daniel then became an A.W.C.F (Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers) after successfully completing a series of higher examinations concentrating on therapeutic and remedial farriery. In doing this it has enabled him to attain the title of ‘Master Farrier’.
In July 2013 Daniel also became a ‘Freeman’ of the Worshipful Company of Farriers and intends to become a Liveryman of the Company in the near future.
